Every day, students and families face mental health challenges that can feel overwhelming. Anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, and grief can impact a student’s ability to learn, connect, and see a hopeful future.
The Brainerd Area Hope Project was created in July 2026 as a response to the mental health crisis affecting many Brainerd Area Students. The mission is to help bridge the gap between needing support and being able to access care with compassionate local mental health professionals who are independently licensed.
Through community partnerships and sponsorships, we can help provide trauma-informed mental health support for students and families who may face barriers to receiving services.
Many families experience barriers such as:
● Lack of insurance coverage
● High deductibles or out-of-pocket costs
● Limited access to specialized mental health providers
● Financial hardship during times of crisis
● Needing support after a traumatic loss
Your partnership helps ensure that financial barriers do not prevent a student from receiving compassionate mental health care.
