I welcome the opportunity to work with Minnesota Tribal Nation citizens, descendants, and individuals seeking a therapist who understands the importance of culturally respectful care. As an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, I recognize the importance of connection—to self, family, community, culture, and the healing journey. My ancestry also includes Norwegian, and other cultural influences, deepening my appreciation for the many histories, traditions, and experiences that contribute to who we are.
I believe healing happens within the context of each person’s story, identity, relationships, culture, and lived experiences. I also believe healing is not about forgetting the past—it is about understanding how the past has shaped you, creating new possibilities in the present, and moving toward a future with greater balance, confidence, and connection.
Riverside Counseling provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health services that honor each person’s identity, lived experiences, relationships, and connection to community.

Riverside Counseling takes a whole-person approach that recognizes the connection between mind, body, emotions, relationships, culture, community, and personal history. Through culturally responsive and evidence-based practices, clients are supported in healing from past experiences, strengthening their connection to self and others, and building pathways toward resilience and wellness.
Healing can include honoring where we come from, understanding what has shaped us, and creating a healthier path forward for ourselves, our families, and future generations.
