Riverside Counseling is intentionally structured as a boutique, specialized psychotherapy practice rather than a high-volume therapy model. This allows me to maintain a focused caseload and provide individualized, clinically intentional care rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

The Diagnostic Assessment (DA) is the initial clinical intake completed before beginning ongoing psychotherapy. During this appointment, we discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, goals, and treatment recommendations.

The assessment fee is $275.

Standard psychotherapy sessions are generally 45-54 minutes, depending upon the service scheduled.

Individual psychotherapy: $250 per session
Couples therapy: $250 per session
Family therapy: $250 per session

Treatment frequency and duration are individualized according to your clinical needs and treatment goals.

Group psychotherapy is currently $105 per session, when groups are offered.

Specific group programs may have additional registration or program requirements.

Riverside Counseling works with most insurance plans through its contracted administrative and billing arrangement with Soul Work in Champlin who provides administrative support that includes insurance verification, claims submission, billing, payment processing, and client portal management. Insurance coverage is determined by your individual insurance.  Your plan may require a deductible, copayment, coinsurance, or other patient responsibility.  Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment.

Ultimately, you are responsible for charges associated with services you receive, including amounts your insurance does not cover.

You may choose to pay privately for services rather than use insurance, when appropriate.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or appointment changes.

• Late cancellation: $100
• No-show: $150

Insurance companies generally do not reimburse cancellation or no-show fees, so these charges are the client's responsibility. If an unexpected emergency occurs, please contact directly Riverside Counseling directly as soon as possible.

Routine scheduling and brief administrative communication may be handled through the administrative support system. Requests requiring substantial clinical time—such as extensive record review, lengthy telephone consultation, specialized letters, legal requests, or other professional services—may involve additional fees. Any applicable fee will be discussed whenever reasonably possible before the service is provided.
